Description: La`au Kana`ono Kumamahiku - Color illustration
La`au Kana`ono Kumamahiku.....67th Plant These are one of the more common mushrooms in Hawaii, introduced with Eucalyptus trees from Australia. Amanita are possibly fatal if eaten; victims live about two days, and if survive will sustain some degree of liver damage. Yet some Amanitas are edible, but it's probably better not to risk identifying the wrong one. Mushrooms are not plants, but I'll include some plant-like things here also.
