Description: Solar eclipse photographs from 1972 to the present.
Brian Dana Akers / Eclipse Photos Convoy! We stuffed ourselves into a ’64 Mustang and a VW bus and drove east. Added more people and more vehicles in Warren, Michigan, then drove northeast for another twenty hours until we got to Cap Chat, Quebec. Camped out for a week and just glimpsed totality through a hole in the clouds. I observed it visually with a 2-inch refractor and snapped this photo with an old Rolleiflex.
