Description: Amateur astronomy with webcams. Also illustrated lessons and photos in 3D.
the astronomy webcam paradise including astromovies, 3D & near infrared imaging The astronomy webcam and other cameras, 3D imaging, near IR and thermal camera ... Paradise ! Now retired, I have participated to the beginning of the webcam adventure in astronomy. You will find how to modify your own Philips webcams. Some of my main interests are planetary imaging with a 12" LX-200, 3D stereoscopic vision, near infrared (NIR), thermal infrared (TIR), UV photography and ISS tracking. Buying a Coronado SM90 H-alpha filter for the 2004 Venus transit made me a passionate observer of the activiy of our Star. I recently added a double-stack to my PST. I have now a full spectrum Canon EOS 1100D and a partially defiltered Canon EOS 40D. I can say that liveview changes everything ! I usde a special modified EQ-G mount and software (Videos Sky, E. Rietsch) to follow and capture the ISS and planes ! I am grateful to Registax6, RegiStax5, Autostakkert!2, VirtualDub, GIMP2, Astrosnap(XP only) and Deepskystacker softwares which are some of my best astronomy tools :) I have been a very passionate member of the RegiStax Dev Team and still now of the SCF french stereo club ... NEW : interest in moding the Fuji-W3-3D !
