See the People page for information on how to apply Welcome to Guernsey Choral and Orchestral Society. We hope that you find here all you need to know about the Society. GCOS is a well-established, mixed-voice choir of about 100 singers, who share a love of singing and enjoy making music together in a friendly yet hard working atmosphere. GCOS gives amateur singers the opportunity to take part in major choral works with the benefit of a full orchestral accompaniment in performance, with both amateur and professional soloists. The choir and orchestra has built a reputation for high quality performances and performs regular public concerts at Christmas and in May covering a wide range of music, as well as a biennial concert weekend abroad, which in 2011 saw a performance of Haydn's Creation in St Malo Cathedral.
