MCHA's Historic House Museums Covenhoven House, 150 W. Main St., Freehold, NJ  Built in 1752, the home of William and Elizabeth Covenhoven was occupied by the British General Clinton before the Battle of Monmouth in June of 1778. Today, school groups visit for the popular hearth cooking program and several special events are held there annually.
