And for any misconduct during their service, a former sentry may be stripped of his badge. They walk their post every hour of every day, throughout the year, regardless of weather. During a recent hurricane, the scheduled sentries were offered the chance to remain under shelter, till the weather cleared. All refused, and served the full tour.
