Description: Includes information about research projects and links to recently published papers.
The School of Law has built its research (as with its teaching) on the twin themes of law in context and international character of law. The School has a particularly strong reputation in international and comparative legal research, much of it focused on less developed countries, and to this end it maintains formal links with law schools in Africa, Asia and Latin America as well as in Europe and North America. Many of the school’s staff (and current and former students) are closely involved in issues of legal, social and economic policy both in the UK and throughout the world, and much of its research involves socio-legal and empirical studies feeding directly into processes of legal and social reform.
