ALLEN WALLIS INSTITUTE OF POLITICAL ECONOMY Institute of Political Economy is a collaboration between the Departments of , with the goal of promoting research and teaching in the area of political economy, broadly defined. We include under the rubric of political economy a spectrum of work from an applied or theoretical perspective, employing statistical or analytical methods, and with an economic or political focus. Nevertheless, we see this heterogeneous field as united by a twofold concern: We seek to understand with how economic incentives shape political institutions and behavior, and we undertake to know how political forces influence economic choices.
