Description: Responsible for the overall care of the physical assets of Penn State. Duties include overseeing the planning, design, and construction of projects, administering University real estate, performing daily operations and maintenance, and providing quality and cost-effective services.
The Office of Physical Plant (OPP) is a "support business." We exist to enable The Pennsylvania State University to accomplish its threefold mission of Teaching, Research and Service. The University mission is simple, yet, far reaching: "Penn State is a multi-campus, public, land-grant University that improves the lives of people in Pennsylvania, the nation, and the world through integrated, high-quality programs in teaching, research, and outreach."
