Description: Current research in collaboration with NASA's WMAP project, a mission measuring the temperature of cosmic background radiation over the full sky.
Brown University Observational Cosmology Welcome to the Brown University Observational Cosmology group. We are involved in several research collaborations. We measure what happened in the early universe a fraction of a second after the Big Bang using the Cosmic Microwave Background. We study some of the earliest galaxies to have formed in the universe, and we look at the early stages of star formation in our own galaxy. To carry out these projects we design and build ground-based, balloon-borne and space-based instruments and analyze the data from these experiments.
