The fight against deadly microbes relies largely on knowledge of the microbe's interactions with the body. Our Infectious Diseases Division specializes in viral infections such as Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Influenza, Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), and Dengue. We have expertise in the community surveillence of pathogens, vaccine research for HIV, vaccine research for influenza and the development of treatments for viral, fungal and bacterial pathogens.
