UMASS Amherst Ham Radio Club Homepage Welcome to the Homepage of the UMASS Amateur Radio Club (W1PUO). As with most school clubs, our existance has come and gone, but now we are finally here to stay. In 1996, members of the College of Engineering Class of 2000 formed the club. Our primary mission, like most college clubs, is to provide a shack for Radio Amateurs to operate away from home. This is in addition to providing licensing classes for prospective hams, as well as performing public service events to the community.
