Welcome to the Department of Pharmacology - School of Medicine We welcome the opportunity to inform you about our Department of Pharmacology. The Department of Pharmacology at the Health Science Center at San Antonio is uniquely positioned to carry out research into the most relevant areas in pharmacology as well as to deliver superior training in pharmacology. Our faculty use approaches that range from the molecular and cellular through electrophysiology and systems to behavior. Because of their expertise with different approaches, many of our faculty collaborate with each other on integrated research projects. This enables our students to receive training in all these areas and gain an appreciation of the effects of drugs at all these levels of analysis.
