Wind Ensembles of Cornell University's Department of Music — CU Winds Wind Ensembles of Cornell University's Department of Music CU Winds director Cynthia Johnston Turner has accepted an offer from the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA.  The Hodgson School has over 500 music majors, six wind ensembles, and world-class faculty and facilities. Turner has been hired as Full Professor, will conduct the wind ensemble and mentor MM and DMA students in conducting. She will conduct the Cornell Commencement this May for the last time and assume her new post in August. Brava Professor Turner!
