Biostatistics | UMass Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences school of public health and health sciences Welcome to Biostatistics in the School of Public Health and Health Sciences. As part of the Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, we are a dynamic group of faculty engaged in methodologic and collaborative research that is relevant to a wide spectrum of complex public health questions. Working closely with the Epidemiology faculty, we are involved in multiple areas of research that are as diverse as community based research, survey and sampling methodology, Bayesian methods, clinical trials, longitudinal data analysis, survival analysis, statistical computing, and genomics. We offer state of the art M.P.H, M.S. and Ph.D. degree programs which integrate core statistical literacy and methods with the health related biological sciences. Biostatistics’ central role in the analysis of public health and biomedical data represent outstanding opportunities. Come join us.
