Welcome to the Academic Affair's Task Force web page. In early September, the Vice President for Academic Affairs announced the formation of three task forces charged with charting the directions of the academic programs for the next decade in the broad areas of health and human services; integrating science, math and technology; and information technology. To meet this charge, each task force will seek to identify future societal changes and opportunities that may impact our programs, build upon the strength of our current programs, analyze resource needs and availability based on existing and potential sources, and make recommendations to the academic community, in general, and the Academic Council specifically about future directions for the University. The work of the task forces is envisioned to be a "broad brush" series of recommendations with more detailed analyses and program development/proposals to be pursued subsequently by appropriate faculty groups.
