Description: A regional council serving 30,000 girls across Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes Girl Scouts of the USA CEO Anna Maria Chávez released a  this afternoon, confronting recent misconceptions about our organization. In the video, Chávez explains what Girl Scouts is all about and reminds us that, “A box of Girl Scout cookies is not a political statement. It is an investment in a girl and her dreams.” We are extremely proud of the great work Girl Scouts do in their communities with the money they earn from selling cookies, and we will continue to deliver the mission of Girl Scouting—to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place—to girls and women of every background.
