Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay Council Girl Scout Junior Troop 634 in Service Unit 97 had a brainstorming session and talked about several different ideas on how to use our cookie proceeds to make the world a better place; then we voted. The organization Adopt-a-Platoon received the most votes. Through the organization, we were assigned a group of 32 soldiers serving in Kuwait. We went shopping for items to put in care packages. We bought them snack foods, toiletries, stationery, entertainment items and other useful things, then packaged them up and mailed them to the contact person for the platoon.
