Description: Bearded Dragon description, care information and links. Site inspired by the owner's pet, Caesar.
Welcome to Caesar's Palace Determining the sex of your Bearded Dragon The inland Bearded Dragon is native to eastern continental Australia, although most Dragons are captive bred. They get their name from their spikes. They are not acutally spikes though. It's just the way their scales grew. It makes them look like they came to us right from the dinosaur age. They also get their name from their beard. The adult male Dragons, usually when they are scared or threatened, display this throat fan or beard to scare off unwanted guests. It will turn to black or to a dark color. They can grow up to two feet in length. This of course is from their head to the tip of the tail. Their size makes it manageable to keep as pets, unlike Iguanas, which can get much larger. Bearded Dragons are generally healthy and are low maintenance pets. Keep the cage clean by removing feces weekly and wiping the enclosure every couple of weeks.
