Dolliver Mastiffs - Mastiff movement & Mastiff Family Photo Album's In 1989 my husband, Darrell, was coming up from the barn when he couldn't help but notice a VERY large dog lying on our back porch. Upon opening the door this wonderful animal walked right in. She proceeded to find a place on the living room floor and went sound asleep. We had no idea what kind of dog she was. Darrell kept saying as soon as he found out what kind she was, he was going to get one. I started telephoning vets in our area but could not find one with a client missing an animal of her description. To make a long story short, after 2 weeks the owners finally found us and were happily reunited with Sally. This started our search for our first mastiff and finding our special gal Sheeba in 1992.
