Description: Dedicated to the rescue, treatment and rehabilitation of all wildlife and birds. Information about the hospital, volunteering, and advice on how to deal with orphaned or abandoned wildlife. South London, UK.
The Riverside Animal Centre - part of the London Wildcare Trust Due to on-going building works, we regret that we will be unable to host our Christmas Open Day (scheduled for Sunday 8th December) as we have no indoor space available in the event that outdoor conditions are too cold or wet for our various stalls. We are working on a solution for this for future years and apologize for any disappointment caused. We will be holding a members afternoon, details of which will be sent with our Christmas Appeal.

Description: | Welcome to the website of the Riverside Animal Centre, part of The London Wildcare Trust. Our charity was founded in the mid nineties, amidst humble beginings in a small suburban semi and has since grown to become one of the most highly respected animal welfare organizations in the region. You can find out more about our history by clicking on the green logo on the right of the page. Our core activity remains the provision of care, treatment and rehabilitaion for almost 4000 sick, injured and orphaned wild animals every year. Most of our smaller patients such as birds, hedgehogs and squirrels arrive via members of the public in a cardboard box and our hospital is open to receive such cases every day of the year at the times published below. To find out more about our work with wildlife, please click on the light blue logo on the right of the page. We also provide a range of services for domestic animals including attendance at serious incidents where no owner is present, responding to urgent situations involving stray or abandoned animals and provision of assistance to the emergency services in the event of a major incident or disaster. We do not take in unwanted animals but our reception staff may be able to provide owners with local contacts in the event that they need to rehome their pet. For more details abouyt our work with domestic animals, please click on the red logo on the right. |
