Looking out my office window, I am looking at the depth of 3-4' of snow. I know that the deer and elk herds are coming down to the towns looking for food and shelter. I hope that the severity of the winter does not affect the strength of the deer herd. We have had a cow moose and her calf take up residency on out property. they have access to the open spring water, and lots of willows and a few coniferous trees to nibble on. It is so impressive to watch them maneuver through the depths of the snow.
