Genesee Valley Hunt, Hunt Races and Horse Trials Martha Wadsworth, Marion Thorne and Travis Thorne lead the opening day parade down Main Street, Geneseo. The purpose of the Genesee Valley Hunt is to foster and promote the sport of fox hunting, to preserve and care for wildlife, and to conserve open spaces. The GVH operates on the generosity and good will of its neighboring land owners and farmers. The GVH is funded primarily by individual contributions from its members.
