Home of Young's Fishing Service Young’s Fishing Service, Inc. was co-founded in 1986 by Jack LaFond and Bill Young, who were partners in Young’s Sporting Goods located in The Dalles, Oregon. We started out guiding strictly on the Columbia River for Walleye, Sturgeon, Salmon and Steelhead in our smaller fiberglass boats, progressing into fishing the Deschutes River via Jet Boats. Having closed our sporting goods store in 1995, I decided that the fishing guide life would be my sole profession.
