“If you were to take a stroll through the vineyard at the moment you would soon find yourself surrounded on all sides by woolly buds. This is not a thing to fear or dread. Indeed it is something we welcome as it is the precursor to budburst. It is the first discernible indication that vintage 2014 is underway. It is still too early by many months to know what the potential crop size and quality will be like, but it is now coming and will culminate with harvest sometime in March or April 2014. We are currently tasting our 2013 aromatic white wines along with our 2012 Chardonnay and the rerelease of our sensational Sangiovese this one from the 2012 vintage. So come on down and say hi to the guys in the cellar door, be sure your boot is empty when you leave home so it can go home with months of joy. We’ll even wrap them in glass for you. See you soonâ€
