Steels Creek Estate was established in 1981. The vineyard is situated in the picturesque Steels Creek Valley (part of the Yarra Valley wine region) with sweeping views towards Mount Slide and the Kinglake National Park. The Steels Creek Valley was hit hard by the bushfires of February 7. After a long night fighting the fire we managed to save ourselves, home, winery/cellar door and machinery shed. The 2009 vintage, some vines and trellising and most of the fencing were lost to the fire. You can read more on the fire in our Bushfire update
