Stanushina is an established grape variety only found in the Tikveshija region of Macedonia. Over the past few decades, the region’s grape growers began to abandon the production of Stanushina due to the introduction of new international grape varieties. This practice threatened to wipe out this unique variety of grape forever. It is the Popova Kula Winery’s intention, and privilege, to reintroduce this grape to the region and share our fantastic variety of wines with the world.
