| Description: | YMCA Camp Carson is an ACA accredited, tri-state, co-ed summer resident camp. Located 40 minutes from Evansville, IN, 2 3/4 hours from Nashville, TN, 2 1/2 hours from St Louis, MO, 1 3/4 hours from Louisville, KY, and 3 hours from Cincinnati, OH, Lexington, KY and Indianapolis, IN. We offer traditional overnight camps, specialty camps, and mini-camps for campers aged 7 -16. Programs include swimming, canoeing, fishing, archery, crafts, athletics, kayaking, high ropes courses, climbing, the Alpine Tower, horseback, rafting, camping, hiking, and scuba. In our extended season we operate as a conference and retreat center and in addition offer outdoor education, leadership, and character education programs for schools. Our corporate team building programs can handle both day and overnight groups. Many of the buildings are heated and air-conditioned. Our Lodge is available for weddings, receptions, and training events and seats up to 400. Meals can be provided or catered out. In the spring and fall we host a Christian Leadership conference for area YMCAÕs. |
