Description: Classic 1st jump story, set at Lakewood, NJ. It was the place to go for newbie jumpers in the 70's and 80's. The sky gods and hot dogs lived there, while the rookies gazed in admiration at the skill and aghast at the egos.
1st Jump - Lakewood Skydiving Center In 1983 when I worked selling industrial safety equipment, Jed, one of my customers in New Jersey, told me about having done a parachute jump. I listened with rapt attention because it had always been a secret fantasy of mine to try skydiving.
