NWMAC Model Flying Club Derry/Londonderry Welcome to the North West Model Aircraft Club With Views like this it is no wonder many of us dream of becoming a pilot. Well now you can without even leaving the ground. NWMAC is a radio controlled model aviation club based on the outskirts of Derry / Londonderry in Northern Ireland. Our club's airfield occupies a 6 acre site and proudly boasts two runways, one of which is tarmac measuring some 60 meters. We also have our own purpose built club house with electricity and W/C facilities. We have approximately 50 members of all ages flying both model airplanes and helicopters, and pride ourselves on the warm welcome all visitors and friends receive at our club. If you are new to aeromodelling we can offer advice on purchasing models and equipment and offer free members tuition to help get you in the air. We also have three club instructors and two examiners to help you get your wings and all our members are fully insured. So why not pop in, have a chat and a cuppa, and discover if you're a Top Gun, Aerobat or simply a Sunday Flyer.
