a principled neighborhood newspaper The biggest new project in Cherry Creek in a half a decade is now slated for 1st and Steele. BMC Investments (“BMCâ€) has announced the design of Steele Creek, a 232-unit residential building on the Southeast corner of 1st Avenue and Steele Street in Cherry Creek. The building will have over 16,000 square feet of ground floor retail space which includes one large space with over 13,000 square feet fronting Steele Street. The building is designed by renowned architecture firms The Housing Studio and Rottet Studio, both of which is their inaugural Denver project. The building’s program consists of 232 rental units of different scales situated on a podium with pedestrian oriented, streel level retail spaces.
