aksphoto - Alexandra Kocho-Schellenberg I studied photography at The School of Visual Arts in New York City, graduating with a B.F.A. in 2001. My final portfolio, documenting the Brooklyn waterfront, was part of the group exhibition The Mentor Show in Soho, New York. After graduation I moved to Russia, where I continued taking my own photos while working as the pictures editor at The Moscow Times, Moscow's leading English-language daily. After over three years in Russia, I moved to the United Kingdom in late 2004, where I am continuing some long-term projects and seeking freelance assignments. My photos have been published in The Moscow Times, The St. Petersburg Times, Novaya Gazeta, The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune, and Corriere della Sera Magazine.
