The University of Exeter - The Bill Douglas Centre for the History of Cinema and Popular Centre Founded in 1994, the museum contains an enormous collection relating to the history of film and visual media. From shadow puppets to Shirley Temple dolls, from magic lanterns to Marilyn Monroe postcards, there is something to fascinate every visitor. Our galleries are open every day from 10am to 5pm (except for Bank Holidays and between Christmas and New Year).
