Description: breeders of traditional utility poultry on organic smallholding in the West of Ireland
Home - Corrachombra Traditional Poultry Breeds Corrachombra Farm is  smallholding in West Cavan, Ireland, run in accordance with nature and the environment. There are orchards and hedgerows, vegetables and herbs, nuts and flowers, fields and streams. Twenty acres of unspoilt uphill countryside are home to sheep, mangalitsa pigs and poultry: turkeys, ducks, guinea fowl, quails, geese and sevaral breeds of traditional utility chickens. All fowl are kept in large runs with grass, wild flowers, trees and fruit bushes. They are regularly treated with diatom, a naturally occuring type of "sharp sand", for external parasites and are wormed twice a year with flubenvet . Small numbers of hatching eggs, day-olds, chicks and growers are usually available.
