Committed to the Preservation and Propagation of Plantlife The Native Plant Project's primary objective is the compilation and dissemination of information about plants native to the lower Rio Grande Valley.  The NPP seeks to increase scientific knowledge of native plant propagation and phenology for both horticultural and natural revegetation purposes.  The NPP promotes the conservation of local native plants, habitats, plant communities, wildlife, and environment.  The NPP seeks to increase the public's knowledge and awareness of the importance of native plants in the lower Rio Grande Valley by encouraging their use in public and private landscapings.
