I bought a Ford Scorpio in November, 1990, with 5000 miles on it. It was an "executive car", having been driven by a Ford employee and hence kind of falls into a shadow area. However, it was still under a new car warranty and I bought a 6 yr./60,000 mile extended warranty plus a Ford alarm system.
