As God is my witness, I will never be matronly again. Moving my spinning bike upstairs to the loft is one of the best things I've ever done. Quick recap: in November, our last cat, Kyoto, died of old age. We've been owned by a small handful of cats for the past 27 years, and our house showed it. Bose and Mags, in particular, were rather rough on our carpets and furniture. So, when Kyoto went to the Rainbow Bridge, we already knew we were headed into a cat-free period in our lives. I sprang into action: 1-800-Got-Junk? hauled away the old furniture (and the gargantuan projection TV) in the loft and living room. We got new carpeting. (never getting berber again! Ugh!) And best of all, I revamped our home theatre system, with a new receiver, Blu-Ray player, LCD TV, and a huge black leather sofabed from Jennifer Convertibles.
