Description: Self-advocacy organization in NH led by people with disabilities.
People First of New Hampshire - People First of New Hampshire We appreciate any contribution that you can make  to help us continue to advocate! In late December, 2011, we suddenly lost our friend and co-founder of People First of NH, Diane Carignan.  Diane helped to establish the non-profit organization starting in 1991.  She was an active board member and officer through the following years and spoke consistently for the rights of people who experience disabilities, serving on several boards and committees on a statewide level.   Diane was ambitious and spoke her mind and was a successful self-advocate for her own life and on behalf of her fellow members of People First of NH.  Diane will be greatly and forever missed.   During the 20 year celebration of People First of NH, we honored self-advocates who were nominated for the Diane Carignan Award.  Those nominated were:  Lorraine Butler, John Fenley, Chrystal Johnson, Mawri Morsi.   The recipient of the Diane Carignan Award, 2012 went to Roberta Gallant.
