North Syracuse Fire Department - Serving you for 100 years! A lot has changed since the North Syracuse Fire Department was established in 1913. Our fleet has grown from two hand drawn chemical carts to over a dozen modern Fire and Rescue vehicles. Our members no longer wear long coats and three quarter boots, instead they wear an ensemble of protective equipment that weighs over sixty pounds. We answer approximately one hundred calls a month where our founders answered just a few calls a year.   Basic tools have evolved into thermal imaging cameras, advanced life support equipment, and mobile computer terminals.
