| Description: | Sheffield has one of the largest historical collections of anaesthetic apparatus and equipment on display in the UK. We present a selection of items from the museum which offer a unique insight into both the evolution of anaesthesia and the resourcefullness of our predecessors over the past century. The collection was founded by the late Dr. Jake Johnston and is continued to the present day by Dr. Jake Alderson. Photography was kindly provided by the Medical Photography Unit, and web design by Dr. Ian Paterson. |
