Description: Emergency medicine specialty group located in the Sandhills (Pinehurst) of North Carolina.
Beginnings: Sandhills Emergency Physicians started as a 5-member physician group in 1991. It provided coverage to Moore Regional Hospital, a well-recognized specialty hospital. Current: The group has expanded to 28 physicians and 8 PAs. SEP provides coverage at 3 hospitals MRH-Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, RMH-Richmond Memorial in Rockingham, and MMH-Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy. Hoke County is expected to be built and staffed in 2013 as our fourth facility. FirstHealth of the Carolinas is the corporate umbrella that unifies these facilities into a regional healthcare system.
