Description: Seth was born at 32.5 weeks gestation with the majority of his intestines exposed. The exposed intestine was also gangrenous, thus he lost most of his small intestine.
This page was last updated on: October 5, 2008 Seth was born prematurely on October 10,1990 with an abdominal wall defect called gastroschisis. with midgut volvulus. Seth lost the majority of his small bowel and some of his large bowel, due to gangrene. Seth was placed on TPN the day of his birth. This is the first picture I was able to see of Seth.
