by Brian "Dhruin" Turner, 2007-11-04 Taken as a whole, the roleplaying genre isn't exactly overcrowded with new entries but the action/RPG sub-genre - and hack'n'slashers in particular - are a pretty competitive landscape, with lots of barely differentiated games struggling to catch up to the gameplay that Diablo nailed over a decade ago. So, it's refreshing to find an indie effort that not only competently tackles the major bullet-points but also adds its own spin, creating a unique concept: a highly randomised single-player action/RPG with the sort of competition and deal-making you might find in a multiplayer game.
