- "Onimusha is one of the games that you just can't pass up for the PS2 this year. Even thought it hasn't redefined a genre or discovered a profound meaning to life, you still get to save the Princess and wave a shiny pointy stick around in the air. That makes it just plain fun." Review by The Slipperyone with overall score [8/10]. Includes screen shots.

- "Anyone looking for a great hack-and-slash adventure will be more than satisfied with "Onimusha 2." You still have to put up with funky camera angles, but the overall control is more than sufficient to get you though this 10-hour-plus trek." Review by Miguel Concepcion with overall rating [4/5] and screen shots.

- Review by Omni, [Score: 9/10]. "As I navigated the halls of Resident Evil's creepy mansion, blasting zombies, escaping from traps, and marveling at the graphics, I couldn't help but wonder how much the mansion would sell for if it was on the market." [GameCube] (May 24, 2003)

- "The real question is whether or not this game is better than Code Veronica. The latter title has a more interesting story, but Resident Evil 3 is a bit more challenging, with more detailed and moody environments. Plus, Evil 3 is longer than Veronica. Any true fan should have both games, though. That way you can just enjoy them, and you don't have to rack your brain over picking a favorite." Review by Darvan.

- "Silent Hill builds a town (and another town) that I absolutely did not want to be in, but was unable to leave -- except by finishing the game. Take that as you will. I recommend it." (March 01, 2000)

- "Although the initially slower pace and more non-conventional puzzles might annoy some gamers, those who hang in there are in for a hellish treat well worthy of the creepy Silent Hill brand." By Bryn Williams. (September 09, 2004)

- "I was really looking forward to Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, which is probably why I feel less than satisfied. It's got some good moments--a few marriages of sight and sound that run a shiver down your back--but overall standard stuff." Review by Omni with score.

- "The biggest flaw of Silent Hill 2 is that it's on a par with Silent Hill -- better in some ways, weaker in others. SH set its standard by being a great leap beyond other horror games of its era; SH2 repeats the standard, but doesn't repeat the great leap. Ah well. "On a par with Silent Hill" is still a fine reason to play a game." (October 16, 2001)

- "With a team 60 sickos working overtime on this title, one can be certain that the technical aspects of the game will be fantansmagorical. But what of plot and such. Do not fret, even if the story is as shallow as a tide pool (which of course it won't be) the flash light alone has more depth, with the advance lighting and real-time shadows, than an Ingmar Bergman flick. I'm already scared." Preview by Tolkiemingway, with screen shots. (April 14, 2001)
