Rules of Card Games: Ninety-Nine An original card game for 3 players (with variants for 2, 4, 5), invented by David Parlett. Ninety-Nine was developed in 1968 in response to the need for a skilled but easily learnt plain-trick game for three players. It was first published in 1975 and has since appeared in card-game books in various countries including Germany, Hungary, Japan and Argentina.
