It is based on the amp decoding engine by Tomislav Uzelac and can do realtime decoding on 50 MHz processors and up. AmigaAMP is a completely free and non-commercial project. Fraunhofer IIS and THOMSON multimedia grant a free license to use their MPEG Layer-3 audio compression technology for this kind of software.
