Getting Closer to 99.9999% Network Uptime    Personal Computing Device Getting Closer to 99.9999% Network Uptime Back in May 2002, Cisco Systems announced new software for its 12000 series routers, Globally Resilient IP (GRIP). GRIP is meant to eliminate data loss on the network even if there are circuit failures or human errors. Not a bad trick if they can do it.
