The ZipBurst CGI Pro: Zipcode Distance Locator and Database Search Engine The ZipBurst CGI Pro is a self-contained relational database/search engine with location-based components. In 1997 David Dantowitz needed a fast, multi-threaded geographic internet database search engine to replace slower, non-threaded web database tools, so he started writing the app in C from scratch. Development continues as clients request new features. Version 5 was released in June 2010.
