Though I try to keep this site somewhat free from political commentary, sometimes choices made during the elections spills.. What is astounding is that the defeat of Prop 32 could possibly be viewed as a win for unionized employees to “voice their opinion.” What it did prove is that California’s elections are overrun with a super majority of union trust fund money. Most of the teachers who belong to CTA were subjected to a “Special” “Temporary” deduction to defeat Arnold’s eight bills he put up in the first election of his ten year  Guess what, all of them were defeated. Not because they weren’t good bills but because the unions collectively put roughly twenty million into the campaigns against them. Sadly for the union employees, the special “temporary” deduction continues to be taken from the employees salary. What prop 32 was about was to allow employees who are part of a collective bargaining group to voice their opinion independently like the rest of the public or, or as a group through their union. This by their choice.
