Some believe that a reason to hate Perl is that there are always one or more modules missing. However, along with the CPAN module (and its putative replacement, CPANPLUS, which does everything CPAN.pm does and more besides) make that a non-issue. One of the best bits about Perl is the simplistic ease of maintaining the packages:
